Being mean or Being a bully?

To know if someone if being mean or just being a bully gets confusing to some. So a lot of people just throw out the word "bully" at anyone. That's not the case though. To be mean is if someone is talking about you or if a teacher assigns you homework being mean is if your boss decides you're going to work your whole weekend. To be a bully is to actually physically hurt someone, like slapping, punching, or stealing their things. I also believe if a rumor is spread about someone that's being a bully. If you're bringing that persons self esteem down in any way, shape, or form that's being a bully. There is a huge difference between these two words that people need to understand they have two totally two different meanings. In the website " thebullyproject.com" some students are experiencing what bullying looks like and they express what it feels like. Some students experience students being mean to them by calling them names.
